Are you and your pet twins?

Are you and your pet twins? Throughout my life I have been asking this question, as I often see people who look like there pets and have a similar personality. I would like to see if my opinion is correct by people sending me there pictures and giving me there opinions.

I have done some research and found a newspaper that did an article they found some brilliant evidence; Love me, Love my dog by The Economist print edition on February 10th 2005. Scientists found that we choose partners that often look similar to us and therefore don’t feel threatened as we think were equal looking. We also choose pets that are like us and our personality."This is an example of what biologists calls assortative mating—that who chooses whom (and also who is willing to be thus chosen)". This observation also suggests that owners grow to look like their dogs and vice versa.

"Christina Payne and Klaus Jaffe, of Simón Bolívar University in Venezuela. They photographed 36 purebred dogs and their 36 owners. The pictures were manipulated to remove the background and the owners clothing (fear not the clothes were just blanked out to create a shot of the head). The prints were then split into six groups of pairs, and each group was shuffled."So the participants didn't know which dog belonged to which owner.

"Dr Payne and Dr Jaffe asked their volunteers to try to guess which dogs within a group belonged to which human. As in the case of human couples, correct guesses were made significantly more often than chance." This shows , that owners really do look similar to their dogs.

I am going too look at celebrities and pet owners to get more evidence to prove that people really do resemble their pets.
So if you know anyone who are like their pet please send me your picture to bethwhat@hotmail.co.uk Thank you.
