Pet accessories?

Do you think it's suitable for owners to dress up there dogs? Personally I think it's cute if the dog doesn't look uncomfortable or distressed but the RCPCA is threatening to take legal action with dog owners that use too many accessories because it could be harmful too the dogs and seen as neglect.

I have a Yorkshire terrier (Tia) and she often wears her pink duffel coat in the winter, which experts believe is acceptable but others say dogs survive in the wild but generally spend most of the time in the indoors so therefore don't need outfits. Tia gets excited when she sees her coat and doesn't hesitate when being dressed. Also she has a couple of dresses which she wears on special occasions. She did have some boots but couldn't walk in them so she never wears them.

I think small dogs with a dress on looks cute but over- dressing them like Paris Hilton with beads, crown, shoes is too much. This has become a popular trend amongst celebrities as well-known designers including Vivienne Westwood and Ben de Lisi have there own designs, and Canine couture is now a huge business.

Hayley Geary a dog walker thinks it's fine as long as the dog is comfortable and looks nice.

Sarah Beasley another dog walkers who says "its creepy" as she was walking around Harrods she came across a section for dogs and didn't think people should waste money when their pets wouldn't even appreciate the clothes.
